What is your child’s favorite character or toy? Constructions trucks? Fairies? Daniel Tiger? Trains? Unicorns? Peppa Pig? Fantastic! I build a lesson plan around each child’s favorite during our first month of school.
Adjusting to School
My focus the first few weeks is to help the children connect to and enjoy school. They will adjust to school routines, expand their vocabulary, and learn school rules such as taking turns, holding a pencil properly, etc.
We transition to more academic focus as the weeks go on, but in a fun, engaging way. There are learning opportunities all around us!
Supporting Parents
Each day your child will bring home “Ask Me Questions”. Two to three questions to engage your child after school to help them tell you about what they learned at school. You are your child’s first teacher!
